ⓘ What does this mean?
What is shared. De-identified engineering patterns — the shape of a failure mode, the structure of a decision, the relation between a requirement and a test. Your files, CAD geometry, part numbers, project names and member names are not shared.
What it improves. The shared models behind failure-mode suggestions, verification-method prompts and design-review briefs. Every workspace that participates makes those suggestions better for every other workspace, including yours.
What you get back. Engineering knowledge is repetitive across companies. A fastener loosens for the same reasons everywhere. Participation is how that hard-won pattern reaches the next engineer instead of being re-learned at the cost of a failed test.
What does not change. Every AI feature keeps working if you decline. Recall of your own prior designs, methods and failures runs on your own record and is unaffected.
It is prospective and reversible. The choice applies to content created from the moment it is set. An owner or admin can change it at any time in workspace settings.
🎓 Free EDU workspaces keep cross-customer learning on. If your address is an academic domain, this stays on and cannot be switched off.
